My Bio
My name is Daniel and I started this account back in college. I took a probably an eight year hiatus. I have a wife and three kids now. I work as a school superintendent. I have three kids and am married now. I enjoy drawing, origami, and fishing. I am a Harry Potter and Jurassic Park fan. Artistically I like to explore line and value with drawing mediums. I occasionally experiment with color and simplistic design. Sometimes I will create something illustrative for fun but it isn't something that I necessarily feel like is a strength artistically. Right now I am just experimenting to get back in touch with that artistic part of myself.

Looks like it was 10 years ago since I last made one of these. Since then I became a K-12 Principal and Art Instructor for five years in ND. Then I became a Superintendent and Elementary principal for another five also in ND. Currently I just started as a full-time superintendent back in MN. I lead a school during the pandemic. That was a wild ride and pretty much still is. I see educators around me retiring (I am still way to young for that) and leaving the profession. I considered it myself but decided to stick it out. I decided to start drawing again and so found this old account. Just an FYI, all my social media aside from Flikr is more related to my job and doesn't have anything to do with art. Anyway, not really sure if any of my old watchers are really around anymore but if you are - hello out there!

I am not dead. Just been really busy. No longer working night shifts. I have one job, and its teaching K-6 art. Still have one semester of college before my principals license. Its keeping me busy coming up with so many lessons. You can see a lot of my ideas (projects) at dludvigson.edublogs.org. I've been trying to get use to Ipads in the classroom. Frustrating at times though. Its been a much better year though. I didn't have to pay anything in taxes this year, I am going to get a big pay raise (I am already making about the same pay with only 1 job) and I am done paying tuition.

Well I noticed it had been a long time since I said much of anything. I had a tough year, but lets start with the good news. I am now going to be a full time k-6 elementary art instructor. No half-time, no part-time no weekend or night shifts. You see the prior school year I took a job for 1 instructional hour a day, now obviously I could not live on that. Around November I took up more employment when my substitute hour were short and I became a paraprofessional or a classroom aid (more or less). This meant in addition to my full-time night job (which was a sleep shift) I also worked full-time at the school in various capacities. I al
